Noetic - Back There

I know what you’re going through right now. It’s Monday and you’re still groggy from the awesome weekend you had. You know, staying up late, watching House Of Cards so you can be prepared for Season 5, all of the trendy things young adults are doing now days. Now it’s time to clock in and file those TPS reports but you’re too tired so you’re fake working and reading this post.

I’ve been slacking on submissions lately but I plan on making up for it right now. I want you to meet two new artists from the Midwest that are bringing the funk and dance vibes to help you get through your “case of the Monday’s” (I won’t quote Office Space anymore after this, I promise). I’m highlighting these songs because they stood out in my sea of email submissions; they didn’t sound anything like what I’m used to getting on a regular basis.

Noetic

Noetic resides in Ohio and I’m used to hearing some lyrical hip-hop from the Buckeye state. When I pressed play on “Back There”, I was drawn into how funky the song was from the beginning thanks to production from Steelix and Falcxne. Noetic takes it back to the puppy love days with his grizzly voice as he creates a song that will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Nate Millyunz

Nate comes from the state of the legendary Prince so he has some big shoes to live up to as an artist representing Minnesota. “World Keeps Spinning” is a pop infused record that sees Nate being honest with his ex. While many think the world ends during a break up, Millyunz knows that there’s more out there and the world doesn’t stop just because a woman breaks your heart.

I hope these funky cuts were good enough to put you in a good mood on this first work day of the week. If not, revisit this post during the weekend so you can be carefree and enjoy the good vibes.
