I’ve been thinking a lot while listening to this playlist. 2016, while being a horrible year, actually hasn’t been awful for me. See, I started thinking of all the things I set out to accomplish this year and it’s over half of what I wrote down at the end of 2015. I’m getting hungry to start knocking things off of my 2017 goal list too.
We can’t control all the celebrities dying or that the leader of our country might get us all nuked. What we can control is our own lives and that’s something I want you to start doing in 2017. Take control of your career. I want to see you get paid off of music and I want to see you make headlines. Start writing down your goals for 2017 right now. Write down at least three things (I’m an overachiever and do six but I never hit them all). Once you do this, put them somewhere that you will see this list every single day. The more you visualize it and see it, the more you want to accomplish it.
Now let’s get to this week’s playlist. As I like to do, there’s something for everyone on this one. You want something hype? Try Immerze’s “Ying Yang”. You want something lyrical? Check Joey B’s remix of 50 Cent’s “When It Rains It Pours”. Want to mix the two styles? Then Willy J Peso and Royce 5’9″ can do that with “LIT”.
Miss last week’s playlist? Catch up here.
